Guitarist Wayne Kramer has died at the age of 75. With his band MC 5 he created the first punk anthem, "Kick Out the Jams" Kramer survived the devastation of the first wave of punk - and became an important figure for the second and third waves of politically motivated musicians.

The battle cry, in which "Kick out the jams" was usually followed by the inevitable "motherfucker!", was heard on record for the first time on MC 5's debut album, "Motor City Five"
