Omar Daghlas was one of the first founding members of the Al-Qassam Brigades in the West Bank. He was arrested when he was a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Economics at An-Najah National University.

In 1992, the occupation expelled 415 cadres of the Islamic Movement outside Palestine, throwing them on the Lebanese border. They camped at the village of Marj al-Zuhur, which later became a historical landmark, and contributed to the development of hundreds of leaders and scholars.
