Ofer Kassif, a member of the Israeli Knesset, was born in 1964. He holds a doctorate in political philosophy.
He is known for his pro-Palestinian positions, most notably his support of South Africa’s lawsuit against Israel before the International Court of Justice. He joined the lawsuit filed by South Africa against Israel, as a result of which he faces threats of expulsion from the Knessets. Before entering Parliament, he described then-Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked as “neo-Nazi scum,” and described Benjamin Netanyahu as ‘the main killer’
