[HIGHLIGHTS] Niigata Joetsu "One-cane ski" performance at "Lerch Festival"

The annual Lerch Festival was held at a ski resort in Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture. Kanayayama Ski Resort is said to be the place where Major Lerch of the then-Austro-Hungarian Empire first introduced skiing to Japan 113 years ago in 1909.

Families and others who visited the event enjoyed themselves by going sledding at the ski resort and eating at food stalls lined up at the venue. The festival began with a fanfare by members of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force.
