Public employees may be obliged to report to police and Migration Agency if they learn in their job that someone is staying in Sweden without permission. In a survey, the trade union Dik has investigated how their library employees view the proposal.

"It's a resounding no," says Dik's union chairman Anna Troberg. Several other professional groups and trade unions, such as doctors, teachers and lawyers, have previously objected to being subject to a reporting obligation. An inquiry into how the duty to report can work in practice will be appointed in the near future.
