New discoveries in Yunxi, Hubei Province prove that the Qinling Mountains have experienced land-sea changes. Coral fossils provide important scientific evidence to prove that land and sea changes occurred in the Qinled Mountains.

Coral fossil occurrence area covers a vast area, stretching from Sancha River to the east, Jinpenliang to the north, Hubesi Pass to the west, and Hutou to the south. The rock, with an area of more than 300 square kilometers, spatially surrounds the east side of the Paleozoic shallow sea basin of Zhen'an-Yunxi Daliang.
