A 31-year-old German tourist is on trial for murder and rape resulting in death. Two young American women were attacked near Neuschwanstein Castle in June 2023.
The woman, 21, died and her friend, one year older, survived with significant injuries. The man admits everything in the trial in the Kempten regional court. The verdict could be announced in mid-March and the trial is expected to last six days. The accused man and the two friends had only met a few minutes earlier.
