Labor unions for doctors, nurses, and other workers working at national hospitals across the country are demanding wage increases in this year's spring labor movement. Depending on future negotiations, they will hold a nationwide campaign on March 1st.

The government has announced its intention to call for a monthly basic wage increase of 40,000 yen for full-time employees. The strike is scheduled to take place in front of the gates of each hospital for one hour after the start of work. Since participation will be limited to a few people at each hospital, it is not expected that there will be any disruption to normal medical care.
