Nagasaki city to reconsider installation location of Gandhi bust offered by India as donation. Nagasaki City has announced that it will install a bust of Gandhi, considered the father of independence, near the tourist attraction Megane Bridge.
The bust of Mahatma Gandhi was donated by the Indian ambassador to Japan who visited Nagasaki in October 2023. Including the pedestal, the bust measures approximately 2 meters and 40 centimeters in height and approximately 1 meter and 70 centimeters in width, and the production costs will be borne by the India side.
