Nagano opens a medical center centered on private practitioners on weekday nights to reduce the burden on working doctors. Starting in April, based on the Labor Standards Act, the upper limit on holidays and overtime work for working doctors was regulated to 960 hours a year.
A new medical center has been opened at Asama General Hospital in Saku City to treat internal medicine and pediatric patients with relatively mild symptoms such as fever and abdominal pain. Patients wishing to be seen must contact the center by phone in advance.
