A man has died near the summit of the Zugspitze. The identity of the dead man is still unclear.
According to a witness, the man was hit by masses of snow on Friday and fell about 400 meters into the depths. The authorities warned that more snow was to be expected in the coming weeks. The man was fatally injured on the Höllentalferner to the rest of the climbers. The investigation into the death of the man continued. The rescue of 11 other climbers who were near the scene of the accident was also carried out.
