[HIGHLIGHTS] More than 20% of teachers who taught technology classes at public junior high schools did not have a technology license.

More than 20% of teachers who taught technology classes at public junior high schools did not have a technology license. Out of a total of 9,719 teachers in prefectures and designated cities across the country, 2,245 teachers (23%) didn't have a "technical" license.

By local government, the percentage of teachers without a technical license was highest in Wakayama Prefecture at 75%. In six local governments, including Tokyo, Gunma Prefecture and Ibaraki Prefecture, all classes were taught by licensed persons.
