Naruki Kanazawa, 55, was wanted nationwide on suspicion of attempted murder for shooting and injuring a man in Miyata Village, Nagano Prefecture in September 2020. Police had been investigating his whereabouts for more than three years with a wanted man across the country.
He was alone in the house when he was arrested, and he admitted his identity to investigators when asked without much resistance. Four people were arrested in connection with this incident for allegedly helping the suspect escape, but none of them were prosecuted.
