Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism to conduct on-site inspection of Toyota Industries from 30th to confirm engine fraud. Last year, it was revealed that Toyota Industries had cheated in national exhaust gas performance tests for four types of engines installed in forklifts and other vehicles that were in production at the time.

The company subsequently investigated and received a report on the 29th that fraud had been confirmed in four other type of engines currently in production. For this reason, the ministry has ordered the suspension of shipments of currently produced engines until compliance with the standards is confirmed.
