Hollywood star Michael J. Fox, who suffers from Parkinson's disease, triggered a standing ovation with an appearance at the British Academy Film Awards.

After coming onto the stage in a wheelchair, the 62-year-old stood up and presented the award for best film to Christopher Nolan for “Oppenheimer” In 1991, at age 29, Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. He made his illness known in 1998, and since then he has rarely appeared in public.
