Memorial service for the faithful dog Hachiko held in front of Shibuya Station in Tokyo under cherry blossoms in full bloom. Approximately 80 people attended the memorial service, including the family of sculptor Tsukasa Ando.

Hachi, who waited for the return of his deceased owner, has become popular with visitors from overseas, and has been made into a film both domestically and internationally as ``The Faithful Dog Hachikos.'' The memorial service was held under the watchful eye of the tourists who were present, and those in attendance offered offerings of tamagushi.
