Maryam and Abdullah were martyred by an Israeli bombing on Rafah 3 days after their wedding. Rescue teams found only seven of them, including one dead and one wounded.
Many members of Abu Nahl's family were displaced from Gaza City thinking that Rafah was safe, but the violent Israeli raids wiped them out. One of the survivors said that 23 people were in this rest house, and that hismartyred daughter was not found. The fate of the rest of the displaced remained unknown.
