This month marks one year since Leiji Matsumoto, a manga artist connected to Kitakyushu City, passed away. A special planetarium program of "Galaxy Express 999" is being shown at the city's science museum.
The story is about the main characters, Tetsuro Hoshino and Maetel, who are traveling on ``No. 999'' and encounter the explosion of the red star Betelgeuse. This special screening will be held from 4:30 pm every day until the end of next month, except on certain days.
