Last year, 925 majors were withdrawn by colleges and universities in China. In 4, 2022, 1641 new majors were recorded, 176 were newly approved and 925 were withdrawn.

The major of public affairs management was introduced to China at the beginning of the 21st century. The number of colleges offering this major increased from 57 to more than 300, with an average annual growth rate of more than 40%.
