La Paz leads the first global clinical trial for pediatric sarcomas with CAR-T cells from donors. "This is the culmination of more than 15 years of work," says Antonio Pérez, head of the Pediatric Hemato-Oncology service at the La Paz Hospital in Madrid.
Called CAR4SAR, the study is designed, first of all, to study the safety of the therapy, although in later stages it will analyze the effectiveness and efficacy of this new approach.
