Junior high school students in Sayama City, Saitama Prefecture, are scheduled to sing the choral song "Departure Day" at their graduation ceremony on the 15th of this month. The song was composed over 30 years ago by Hiromi Takahashi, who worked as a music teacher at a junior high school in Chichibu City, and is widely sung at school graduation ceremonies across the country.
