Man, 70, turned himself in to Japanese police as he lay dying in a hospital. He was part of a radical group that carried out bomb attacks on large Japanese companies in the 1970s.

He wanted to die under his real name, Satoshi Kirishima, and revealed previously unknown details about the bombings, police said. The man died four days after the interview, without the police being able to officially confirm his identity. Two members of the group were sentenced to death, including founder Masashi Daidoji, who was executed in 2017.
