The bear came out in the parking lot of an apartment in Tadakoshi-cho, Kamaishi City. Police had warned the bear by banning traffic on nearby roads, but the bear was captured shortly after 1:6 p.m.
According to the police, no one was injured and no objects were destroyed. In Iwate Prefecture, there have been seven cases of black bear attacks and eight people since April, and the prefecture has changed the "Warning on Black Bear Appearance" to an alert.
