Nuccio Ordine died today at the age of 64 in Cosenza, in the region of Calabria (southern Italy) where he was a teacher. Ordine was distinguished in May with the Princess of Asturias Award for Communication and Humanities 2023.

"The school and the university are made today to train passive consumers. We have to rebel," Ordine said in an interview with The Trust Project in May. "We need to change the way we think about education," he added.
