Five more suspects have been arrested in India following the alleged gang rape of a Brazilian-Spanish tourist. The woman, who was traveling through India on a motorcycle with her husband, was raped by several men on Friday evening while camping in the Dumka district of the eastern Indian state of Jharkand.

In India – the world's most populous country with 1.4 billion inhabitants – an average of 86 women and girls are raped every day, according to official figures. According to women's rights activists, the problem lies in the patriarchal society.
