IAEA monitoring issue at reprocessing plant: confirmation from Japan Nuclear Fuel Ltd. president.
In January last year, some light bulbs went out and the lights went out in a room that is subject to monitoring operations carried out by the IAEA to prevent nuclear material from being diverted to nuclear weapons. It disappeared, and for a time I was unable to monitor it. In response, Japan Nuclear fuel Ltd. submitted a report to the Nuclear Regulation Authority on the 2nd of last month outlining the causes and measures to prevent recurrence.
