The Altyn Mountains National Nature Reserve located in Ruoqiang County, Xinjiang, has welcomed a large number of black-necked cranes returning from migration. The black- necked crane is a national first-level wild protected animal.
It is the only crane in the world that only breeds and lives on the plateau. The Yishekpati Wetland in the Altun Mountains has become an important habitat for the survival of aquatic animals and plants and the habitat, migration, wintering and breeding of a variety of wild birds.
