Fukushima “Japanese black bear infestation advisory” issued throughout the prefecture, calls for countermeasures. Last year there were 709 reported bear sightings and 15 attacks on humans, the highest number since records were kept in 2006.

The advisory recommends measures to avoid encounters with bears and prevent damage, such as wearing something that makes noise when doing outdoor activities, and not leaving garbage around your house. I'm calling on you to take it. The "Japanese blackbear warning" is scheduled to last until the end of July this year.
