Former Waseda University sumo member convicted of “asking to send marijuana” Fukuoka District Court. Yoji Sonoda (20), a third-year student at Wasinga University who was a member of the sumo club.
Sonoda called an acquaintance living in Fukuokasu to ask him to send him marijuana. WasedA University said, "We take the ruling seriously and deeply apologize" for not taking action earlier on the incident.. The court ruled that there was a risk of spreading the harmful effects of cannabis.
