Five Chinese ships have sailed around the Japan Islands. The five ships passed through the East China Sea and the Sakishima Islands.

This is the first time that a Chinese ship has sailed this way in more than a year. The ships are currently in the middle of the Sakashima Islands, about 60 kilometers west of the main island of Honshu, Japan. The mission is expected to last for a few days before the ships return to their home port of Yokosuka, Japan, where they will refuel.
