The World Health Organization has put the spotlight on sweeteners. The new suggestion is that no-calorie sweeteners should not be used as a measure to control weight or to reduce the risk of some chronic diseases.

Pothecary Garcia lists five sweeteners that, under the guise of healthy, are not much more different than the "lifelong" white sugar. He says that under the appearance of "healthy" or "natural" are actually pure and hard sugar. "There is plenty of scientific evidence that we should avoid sugar," he says.
