Caitlin Bernard had made public the abortion of a ten-year-old rape victim – and now has to pay 3000,<> dollars for it. A medical association saw the girl's privacy violated.

The case made headlines last summer, shortly after the U.S. Supreme Court repealed the nationwide right to abortion. The attorney general of the state, Republican Todd Rokita, called for punishment of the abortion doctor in the wake of the affair. Among other things, he accused the doctor of not having properly informed the authorities.
