Exercising in the evening could prevent you from sleeping well, according to a new study. A brand new study carried out by researchers in sleep physiology from the University and the Caen University Hospital leans rather against this practice.

The researchers had athletes in their twenties run for 30 minutes an hour before bed. These athletes were then equipped with electrodes to measure their brain activity during the night. Result: the body is in a state of hyper excitement. The brain runs faster and the level of cortisol, the stress hormone, increases.
