Elementary school in Okuma Town, Fukushima opens for the first time in 13 years, and students from the time bring home their personal belongings. evacuation orders remain in place for approximately half of the town due to the nuclear accident.

At Kumamachi Elementary School, some classrooms had learning tools such as dictionaries on the floor, and visitors were finding their own school bags and textbooks to take home. They were also seen reuniting with their former homeroom teacher and talking about their memories.
