Severe ash fall after the release from the Sheveluch volcano caused a power outage in the village of Kozyrevsk. An earthquake of magnitude 4.5 was recorded in the waters of the Avacha Bay off the south-eastern coast of Kamchatka.

It is noted that power engineers are waiting for the end of ash and snowfall to clear insulators on village power lines and transformer substations. The company added that social facilities are connected to backup power sources. The department reports that local residents felt tremors.
