Dar Ouaddai is one of the 23 regions of the Republic of Chad. It is located in the eastern part of the country and its capital is the city of Abéché.
The region's population is 997 thousand people, according to official statistics in 2018, including 482 thousand men and 515 thousand women. The population is distributed among the main ethnic groups: Ouedai, Zaghawa, Masalit, Hausa, Fur, Arabs, and Tama.
