A Kosovan convicted of manslaughter was arrested at Düsseldorf airport. He had been deported from Germany 17 years earlier.
The 65-year-old was sentenced to 14 years in prison in 1998. At the time of his deportation in 2007, the man still had a good four and a half years to serve. According to the Code of Criminal Procedure, enforcement can be carried out if the convicted person returns to Germany. He was handed over to the judicial authorities after his arrest on Monday evening.
