Country station in Oklahoma doesn't want to play Beyoncé's song "Texas Hold 'Em" at first. The station apparently didn't expect the BeyHive.

This isn't the first time there's been a controversy surrounding music by an African-American artist in the country music scene. In 2019, Billboard magazine, which publishes the US charts, removed Lil Nas. The reason given was that the song did not contain enough country elements. When Beyoncé performed her song "Daddy Lessons" with the Dixie Chicks at the Country Music Awards in 2016, some audience members complained that a non-country musician shouldn't be part of the event.
