A truck collided with the median strip on Chita Peninsula Road in Handa City, Aichi Prefecture. Stones and gravel from the truck spilled into oncoming traffic and hit an oncoming car.
A man who was driving the car was injured in the accident and taken to the hospital, where he is said to be in an unconscious condition. Police arrested the 45-year-old truck driver on the spot on suspicion of causing injury by negligent driving and are investigating the details of the accident.
