[HIGHLIGHTS] Chef Jock Zonfrillo, winner of the Basque Culinary World Prize in 2018 and jury of MasterChef Australia, dies

Scottish chef Jock Zonfrillo, 46, has died in Melbourne, Australia. He won the 2018 Basque Culinary World Prize.

MasterChef Australia has postponed the transmission of the new season. He leaves behind his wife Lauren Fried and four children. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland, to an Italian father and Scottish mother. He opened the Blackwood Bistro and Orana restaurant in Adelaide in 2000. The restaurant was named Restaurant of the Year by Gourmet Traveller magazine.
