[HIGHLIGHTS] Box office success: the film “The Master and Margarita” earned a billion rubles at the box office

Box office receipts for the dramatic fantasy based on Mikhail Bulgakov’s novel “The Master and Margarita” exceeded 1 billion rubles after a week and a half at the box office. The film has already been watched by more than 2.4 million viewers.

The plot revolves around the Writer, the author of a play about Pontius Pilate, who is expelled from the Writers' Union. The central roles were played by Evgeny Tsyganov, Yulia Snigir and August Diehl.
