Sri Lankan man, 19, charged with murder of six Sri Lankan nationals in Canada. Five of the victims are said to have been members of the family where the suspect lived.
Suspect is charged with six counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said he was “shocked’ and “horrified by this terrible violence’. The victims' father was found injured at the scene, police said. The suspect used a ‘sharp weapon’ or a “knife-like object,’ said Ottawa Police Chief Eric Stubbs.
