Two trains rear-ended each other in the upbound section from Xierqi Station to Life Science Park Station on the Changping Line of the Beijing Metro, resulting in 130 fractures and no deaths. The accident caused a direct economic loss of approximately 9.508 million yuan.

The main problems exposed by the accident are: the main responsibilities of the operating units are not fully implemented, there are blind spots and loopholes in safety risk identification and hidden danger investigation and management, and specific measures such as driving intervals and speed limits are not formulated for snowfall weather.
