Be careful as North Korea-related false information disguised as NHK news spreads on SNS. Since March 30th, NHK News has been spreading completely baseless false information that claims that abductee Megumi Yokota and North Korean Foreign Minister Choi Son-hee are the same person.
This false information fraudulently uses an image from NHK's news on March 30, which reported a statement issued by Foreign Minister Choe regarding the abduction issue, to post completely different content. As of noon on April 1st, it had been viewed at least 11 million times.
