Approximately 110,000 chickens to be culled due to avian influenza at poultry farm in Mitoyo, Kagawa. Multiple chickens were found dead at a poultry farm.
Kagawa Prefecture announced that genetic testing detected a highly pathogenic Avian influenza virus. The prefecture has set up disinfection points at five locations around the poultry farm, and has also designated a ``restricted movement zone'' within a 3-kilometer radius of the farm, which prohibits the movement of chickens and eggs.
