A fire broke out in a refugee shelter in Apolda, Thuringia, early Sunday morning. A body was found, several people were injured.

245 people, including many children, had to leave the building, according to police. So far, the police do not see any third-party fault, but continue to investigate. The assessment could therefore still change, says a police spokesman, and an autopsy of the body should now bring clarity.. Since 2003, refugees have been accommodated there on a long-term basis.
