According to the Prison Service, Navalny felt ill after walking and lost consciousness. It says that the medical staff failed to revive him, and that the cause of his sudden death is currently being investigated. The Yamalo-Nenets region in the Arctic, which is described as the harshest prison in Russia, is where Navalny was imprisoned.
