An exploration company says it has found the remains of the legendary Amelia Earhart's plane at the bottom of the Pacific. The company Deep Sea Vision (DSV) states that the image was captured after several searches in an area west of Howland Island.

The blurred image captured by the company's underwater robot at about 5,000 meters deep using side-scan sonar "reveals contours that reflect (the model's) unique twin-tailed aircraft and the size and scale of its aircraft.
