The fire appears to have originated near equipment that temporarily stores wood pellets, the biomass fuel that is fed into the boiler, and the power company that operates the power plant said that the belt conveyor that supplies fuel to the equipment also caught fire. After the explosion was heard, the temperature detected by the equipment's sensors rose to 55 degrees, which is normally around 20 degrees.
