The Berlinale said it stood “for basic democratic values and against right-wing extremism” and supported all demonstrations and other initiatives against undemocratic currents. Along with Cannes and Venice, the Berlinale is one of the world's largest film festivals. The next edition is scheduled for February 15th to 25th, 2024.
